To many of us when you hear of the Title "The Life of Pi", we think that it's just another boring book like all books that really have no purpose, but that's where you are wrong. The keyword in the title of this book, happens to be the word "Pi". Who is Pi? Why was this person named Pi? I know that's what most of you were thinking, because I thought the exact same thing before I read this book. So, if you are still wondering, I'll go ahead and explain to you just exactly who this Pi character is. First of all Pi's real name is Piscine Molitor Patel. I know many of you are like what kind of name is that, but for those poeple who have taken French his first name "Piscine" is actually the french word for "pool". This whole story is pretty much based upon the seven months he's spent at sea. He specifically recieved his name from a pool in Paris, which a close family friend loved to swim. So that is how he got his nameand that is why they just call him Pi for short. What is the main point of this story is that Pi is a student of zoology and religion and in this story he realizes how deeply intrigued he is in the habits and charachtristics of amimals and people 

This is my first time being on vox or actually hearing of it. The reason i'm on now is because I'm doing something in my senior literture class where I have to get feedback from the public from essays that I write. So depending on what you respond is how I will be graded. So if you'll be so kind to post nothing but POSTIVE REMARKS!!! I will greatly appreciate it.
